Hello and Welcome

In my experience, personally, and professionally, I have come to understand that we have ALL have struggled with something, at one point, or another. Are you are struggling with not knowing what to do, or where to turn? Are you feeling exhausted, anxious, depressed, having trouble getting motivated, staying on task, and looking for understanding? I want to first say that I am sorry. I understand how experiencing difficult times can be challenging. I also want to say that I am glad that you are here. I want to offer you hope and help.

I have always had a passion to help people who were hurting, vulnerable, struggling with the past, feeling unseen, and or forgotten. I have learned, over the years, that most people want to know that they hold value. Humans long for love and connection. I believe that everyone will have experienced something that they will equate to being traumatic. Traumatic experiences causes the body and brain to “fight or flee.” Trauma causes disconnection and we often find ourselves feeling alone and abandoned. I have not met a person who did not desire the ability to contribute to their human experience. Today, we might find ourselves in difficult times. Facing difficult times is not always easy. It can feel dark, confusing, and lonely. Many, who experience mental health symptoms, feel exhausted, lack motivation, feel unseen, unheard, or carry guilt and shame. People who struggle with the hurt and pain life brings, can develop anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, addiction, and more. As a result, the barriers that a person creates or endures can affect their normal day-to-day activities, impact their relationships, and make it difficult to know which next step to take. If this sounds familiar to you, I want you to know that you are not alone. I want to help. If you notice that you tend to overthink, overreact, respond, or behave in ways that you do not understand, rest assured, you are not an anomaly. Have comfort knowing that the ability to gain freedom, along with healing, is possible. I want to provide you with support that offers the ability to hope. I would love the opportunity to meet with you and further discuss your options.

From Me to You

I am specifically trained in CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, EMDR, anxiety, depression, and substance misuse. I provide psychoeducation, new strategies, skills, and perspective. I will collaboratively work with you in order for you to have an opportunity to meet the goals you set. You will learn applicable coping skills, gain insight, and have the space to grow in new life experiences. If you are struggling, not knowing what to do, where to turn, or feeling lost, I want to help. If you are looking to understand what you are experiencing, I desire the opportunity to offer you an environment where you can feel safe, be heard, learn new things, and grow into your best self. Let’s connect.

Depending on the focus and direction of your treatment, I would work with you for 8-12 sessions. Sessions may include: CBT, ACT, EMDR, DBT, Mindfulness, Trauma curriculums, or psycho-therapy which we would discuss. Many people start seeing results after 4 sessions and continue to see improvement thereafter. If more time is required, we would reassess after and then adjust as needed.
